Fast and Easy Onion Soup
Straight from the Farmer’s Kitchen
3 Tablespoons Butter
4 Medium Sized Yellow Onions, thinly slices
4 cups water
4 beef bouillon cubes or one quart low sodium beef broth
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Grated Parmesan cheese to taste
Heat butter in large stock pot over medium heat. Add onions. Stirring frequently, cook until onions are translucent. Do not brown or burn onions. Add water, bouillon or broth, parsley, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a low boil, stir, reduce heat and cover. Simmer for approximately 45 minutes. Salt to taste. Ladle into bowls, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve!
